Mid-Weight Marketing Assistant – Digital

Location: Work from our home-based office in Hauraki Corner, Auckland
Employment Type: Casual or Contractor.
Hours: Approximately 6 hours per week, with potential for more hours if desired.
Remuneration: Between $30-$50/hr, commensurate with experience.

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Mid-Weight Marketing Assistant with a digital focus, to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in their skills and ready to hit the ground running. Exact days and times can be negotiated, however the successful candidate must be able to work from our home-based office. There may be opportunity to work from home for the right applicant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform minor updates on WordPress websites as needed.
  • Create new Events and Articles in WordPress using existing content.
  • Execute minor text and image edits in email campaigns, primarily created in Adobe Marketo. Familiarity with other web-builder platforms like MailChimp or Constant Contact is a plus.
  • Update customer records in the database as required.
Required skills and experience

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in using WordPress for editing pages and posts.
  • Experience with email builder software (e.g., MailChimp, Constant Contact).
  • Basic skills in Adobe Photoshop for resizing and editing existing files.
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong desire to learn new skills.

Advantageous Skills:

  • Experience updating WordPress sites and plugins, and site testing post-update.
  • Proficiency in Divi WordPress Builder.
  • Familiarity with HTML and creating raw HTML emails.
  • Familiarity testing emails using an online testing service.

Copywriter

Location: Work from our home-based office, in Hauraki Corner, Auckland.
Employment Type: Casual or Contractor.
Hours: Approximately 4-6 hours per week, with potential for more hours if desired.
Remuneration: Approx $30-$50/hr,  commensurate with experience.

About the Role:
We are looking for a talented and versatile Mid-Weight Copywriter to join our marketing team. This role requires someone who can adapt quickly and hit the ground running, with a keen understanding of digital and technology-focused brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new email copy, often repurposing content from past campaigns while maintaining the original tone.
  • Craft social media copy (posting will be handled by another team member), with an understanding of character limits and hashtag usage.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to copywriting (such as Grammarly, ChatGPT, etc).
  • Create detailed Case Studies based on client-provided content.
  • Write and revise website copy.
  • Update customer records in the database as needed.
Required skills and experience

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word for crafting copy.
  • Competence in using Excel for organizing content calendars.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating social media copy.
  • Experience in writing Case Studies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce copy quickly and efficiently.

Advantageous Skills:

  • Familiarity with web technologies such as WordPress and Grammarly.
  • Experience with online task management systems (e.g., Monday, Wrike, Asana).
  • Prior work with software, technology, design, or architecture brands.
