The New Zealand Government is currently providing grants of up to $5,000 to businesses impacted by Covid.
For many, this presents a great opportunity to update an existing website with a view to make it more compelling and generate more leads and customers, or implement online purchasing to attracted a wider geographic audience.

(Please note, by registering you’ll also be able to take advantage of the ‘usual’ funding scheme where they provide a 50% contribution on business services like Business Mentoring, Websites, Marketing etc. This is up to the value of $2,500 annually).
Once your application is underway you should get a short Survey/Questionairre which asks you to identify how your business has been affected by Covid. You will be assigned a Business Advisor (your contact person) who may call you to ‘discuss your goals’ and essentially qualify your need to obtain the funding. If you have a particular Event or Service in mind that you want to attend, be sure to let your Business Advisor know, so that you get the Voucher for your required dollar value.
Generally you will be issued with a voucher of $2000 – $2500 to start (unless you have a specific service or event that you have already specified for a different amount), and you can later request another voucher. Everyone is entitled to a grant amount totaling up to $5,000. But hurry in and register (even if you don’t think you will use it!) because there is not enough funds for everyone. It is being issued of a first in, first served basis, and currently takes around 3 weeks to be issued.
